Dear Friends ,
The National Training Program (NTP) is a mega capacity building and HRD initiative under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyothi Yojana (DDUGJY) project which aims at providing need based skill development training to as many as 40,000 C&D category employees across the country and utilities for the financial year ending 31st March 2021. Having appointed as Nodal Agency for its implementation, REC Institute of Power Management & Training (RECIPMT) ( Formerly known as Central Institute for Rural Electrification (CIRE)) of REC has been steering its implementation. 40,000 C&D employees are targetted to the trained during 2020-21, to upgrade the skills for better management of Power distribution. These programmes were delivered either by Training Institutes of Power Utilities by themselves or by Independent Training Institutions empanelled by RECIPMT for the purpose.
C&D training programme aims at equipping employees such as Linesmen, Meter Readers, Billing and Revenue Collection staff etc. who operate at cutting edge level with much needed skills and competencies which is expected to help them deliver their responsibilities in superior manner leading to reduction in repair and maintenance cycle time, reduced pilferage of electricity, improved safety of staff and achieving a degree of consumer satisfaction.
Through this portal, I fervently appeal to all the Utilities to come forward and take advantage of the capacity building initiatives, funded by Government of India, Ministry of Power and implemented by REC/RECIPMT which is in the larger interest of all stakeholders
